Meating Queen Elisabeth in the

Palace of Gödöllő

A program for the whole family –transfer by hired coach or individually

We are inviting you on an amazing journey back in time. Our destination is just 30 km from Budapest: the Royal Palace of Gödöllő. It was built in the 18th century in a novel style which later became known as the Gödöllő Style.  In the 19th century the place became one of Queen Elisabeth’s favourite palaces. Later in the 20th c. it was used as the Soviet soldiers’ barrack, then served as an old people’s home. Finally in the 21st c. it has regained its original glory, has been beautifully restored and opened to the visitors. A perfect venue for balls and a variety of events. One of the sessions of the European Parliament took place here during the Hungarian Presidency.

While Queen Elisabeth accompanied by Princess Maria Valeria guides the visitors through the past three centuries she talks about her life with the help of the paintings, souvenirs and furniture of the various rooms and corridors. It is followed by a stroll in the park and to please the children the Queen will offer the guests an ice-cream.
